Earthenware clay sculpture on a teak wood base. Figurative sculpture inspired by the colors of Pakistan’s northern region. The sculptural series documents mans’ existence in nature whilst highlighting years of dominance.
The chunky turquoise bowl has been inspired by the rock pools that form on the edge of the Indus river in the northern regions of Pakistan. The brilliant contrast between clear icy water and the raw river stone has been highlighted in this piece. Further due to the historic availability of copper carbonate most of the ancients used copper in their clay traditions.
