Vase is earthenware treated with oxides in multiple firings. The Pebble vase series originated with the deosaii series show (exhibited in Chawkandi Art Gallery 2017). The series depicts textures and colours of deosaii in autumn. Please note that the vase can take water but not for prolonged periods of time. Due to the absorbancy of earthenware clay the base has a tendency to become damp. It’s perfect for a dry arrangment-very reminiscent of autumn. Gold luster stripes are used as an over glaze to highlight natural fissures in the earth. Can be placed outdoors as well.
It is preferable to keep a small plate under the vase when full of water.
Pebble vase inspired by the geological process of attrition. The glaze and surface texture aims to capture the softness of a river pebble. The vase is a shallow round form..can carry short stem garden flowers with an oasis inside.
